Exterior Trim Painting & Door Painting in Snohomish & King County
Peeling window trim, a faded front door, fascia that’s gone gray? Miracle Painting Company does exterior trim painting and door painting across Snohomish and King County, from a single front door to every board on the house. Trim-only and door-only jobs welcome, no minimum, with a 5-year warranty and a price-match guarantee.
Exterior Trim Painting and Door Painting We Do
Trim is the first thing to peel on a Northwest house. It takes the most rain, the most sun and the most water running off the roof. We paint trim and doors on their own, or as part of a full exterior repaint. Trim-only and door-only jobs are welcome, with no job minimum.
- Window and door trim: the casings around every window and door, scraped, caulked and repainted.
- Fascia, eaves and soffits: the boards along the roof line that hold your gutters, plus the undersides of the eaves.
- Corner boards and bands: the vertical and horizontal trim that frames the siding.
- Front doors: a new color or a fresh coat, with the hardware and glass protected.
- French and patio doors: frames and panels painted, with the glass protected.
- Garage doors: panels and the trim around them, washed and painted to match or to stand out.
Before and After: French Doors and a Front Door in Shoreline
On this Shoreline house the doors were navy. The owners wanted a bright Sherwin-Williams Goldenrod (SW 6677) to stand out against the new Needlepoint Navy siding and Pure White trim, all in Emerald Rain Refresh.
See the whole Shoreline house on our Shoreline page, or more projects in the before and after gallery.
How We Paint Exterior Trim So It Lasts
- Wash. Dirt, mildew and chalky old paint come off first. Paint won’t stick to a dirty board.
- Scrape and sand. Loose and peeling paint is removed and the edges are sanded smooth, so the old peel lines don’t show through.
- Repair. Damaged or rotted trim is repaired or replaced, not painted over.
- Prime and caulk. Bare wood is primed, and the gaps where trim meets siding, windows and doors are caulked so rain stays out.
- Paint. Sherwin-Williams exterior paint on the trim and doors, applied in dry weather so it cures right.
- Walkthrough. We walk the house with you at the end, and touch up anything you point out.
Signs Your Trim Needs Paint
- Paint peeling or flaking on window sills, the bottoms of door casings or the fascia.
- Gaps or cracked caulk where the trim meets the siding or the window.
- Bare gray wood showing, or green and black spots of mildew.
- Wood that feels soft when you press it. That’s rot, and it spreads if water keeps getting in.
- A front door that’s faded on the side that gets the afternoon sun.
Catching it early is the cheap part. Once water gets behind the trim, it can reach the siding and the framing. Getting your house ready to sell? Fresh trim and a new front door color are some of the quickest ways to boost curb appeal. See painting before you sell.

Exterior Trim and Door Painting Questions
Do you paint just the trim, or just a front door?
Yes. We take trim-only and door-only jobs with no minimum. If your siding still looks good, painting only the trim and doors is a smart way to freshen the whole house.
How much does exterior trim painting cost?
It depends on how much trim there is, how high it is, how much scraping and repair it needs, and how many doors are included. Text us photos for a quick idea, or try our instant estimate. We give you an exact written price after a free look, and we match written quotes for the same work.
Can you replace rotted trim before painting?
Yes. Damaged or rotted trim is repaired or replaced, primed and painted with the rest, so you don’t need a separate contractor.
Do you paint garage doors?
Yes. We wash the door, prep the panels and paint the door and the trim around it, to match the house or to stand out.
What’s the best time of year to paint exterior trim here?
Late spring through early fall, when it’s dry enough for the paint to cure. We schedule around the forecast and keep you updated every day.
Can my trim or door be a different color than the house?
Of course. A contrasting door color is one of the easiest ways to change how a house looks. We’ll put Sherwin-Williams samples up so you can see them in your own light before you choose.
